Hope deffered !

Image
All was well with me, Now all is shattered within me. Stripped me of honor; Dreams banished forever. Crying never laid to rest, Eyes pouring out tears to God. Crushed with pain Reproached by words, Groping in darkness, Feet fastened with shackles. Becoming a laughing stock, Calling for help with no one to hear! Blown away like a chaff Days passed, plans shattered And so are the desires of my heart! As water wears away stone As torrents wash away the soil So is my hope washed away.  Many wounds with no reason Waiting for renewal to come Trembling seizes my body. Atleast there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down it will sprout again But i as a human can find no hope! Why is my hope uprooted like a plant? Where then is my hope? Who can see any hope for me? Is there someone to stand in the gap? Should i call this feeling as Hope deffered makes the heart sick!? At one point or the other we come to the point of life where we feel that all that we hoped for is now gone. Righ...

Blaming God versus Trusting God

Image
When what we feared comes upon us, what we dreaded has happened to us. When we could find no peace,no quietness,no rest. When we feel like God above doesn't care about us anymore. Having lost all hope you might feel like there are no true friends to stand by you. whenever someone questions you how you are doing...you wish that you could tell them that,"if only my anguish could be weighed and all my misery be placed on the scales! It would surely outweigh the sand of the seas." Or you might be thinking by yourself that you have no more strength to still  have hope. Everytime you go to bed you might be questioning "how long will this continue!?" Though you try to find peace at least in your bed even there you are frightened by the dreams. You might feel like you have become a burden and that's why you face all this pain! When our emotions are entangled in these feelings it is easy for us to blame God with wrong doing! We tell ourselves that God has...

Happily Ever After!

Image
Many of us wish that we had an “Happily ever after” life like how Disney offers to all its characters. But tell me, did Cinderella live happily ever after without a struggle? Did sleeping beauty live happily ever after without a trauma? Did Rapanzuel live happily ever after without a grief? Did Jack and the bean stalk live happily ever after without risk? Did Thumbelina live happily ever after without a sacrifice? Are there any fairy tales without any dragons? Where in the world, then, did we ever get the notion that to live happily ever after means to live without trouble? For when we look at the fairy tales we find it’s not the absence of dragons-but the taming of dragons-that ushers in happily ever after! In life we get to face problems, we face disappointments, countless failures. We come to a point where the only certainty in life is uncertainty. Even after you’ve done all you can possibly do, and yet your future is beyond your control. In our fight against thos...

My Daddy !

Image
At some point in our lives we come to a point where we feel like the only thing we held close to our heart is being taken away...without any prior notice, without any warnings some things that we adored just leaves us. When this happens we find ourselves to be broken, bruised emotionally. We feel like we have nothing more precious to lose anymore.  We feel like our happiness is gone. We feel like all the past memories are taunting us and so we tell ourselves that no one cares for us and we try to bear our own pain But the truth is there is someone who knows how much it hurts you...It’s quite encouraging to have a heavenly father who has always been there by our side to wipe our tears, to bind our wounds, to hear our heart’s cry... In fact, He indeed feels the pain we feel; He understands every prayer behind your sighs...He has been faithful to hold your hand to lead you and to be with you. When we as His children ask Him for something in our prayers, he not just gives what we h...

Raise above the storms !

Image
A turkey and an eagle react differently to the threat of a storm. A turkey reacts by running under the barn, hoping the storm won't come near. On the other hand, an eagle leaves the security of its nest and spreads its wings to ride the air currents of the approaching storm, knowing they will carry it higher in the sky than it could soar on its own. Based on your reaction to the storms of life, which are you? A turkey or an eagle? It's natural for me to be a turkey in my emotions, but I have chosen to be an eagle in my spirit. And as I have spread my wings of faith to embrace the "Wind," placing my trust in Jesus and Jesus alone, I have experienced quiet, "everyday" miracles: His joy has balanced my pain. His power has lifted my burden. His peace has calmed my worries. His grace has been more than adequate to cover me. His strength has been sufficient to carry me through. His love has bathed my wounds like a healing balm. Soaring has become a...

Agape ❣️

“Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes, Jesus Loves me…” It became one of the world’s most popular Christian hymns. My question is  “Why does Jesus love me?”  I can understand why I love Him, but I cannot understand why He loves me. At times I am unlovable. I do not deserve His love. But my  faults  do not  fade  His love. My  goodness  does not make His love  greater . My  faith  does not  favor  His love. My  errors  do not  erase  His love. I can  forget  Him, but He will never  forsake  me. Never! (Heb.13:5). When it seems no one cares, He cares (I Pet.5:7). At times I fail, but He forgives and forgets. He gives me daily benefits, yet I focus on myburdens.  Why?  His love is not human, but holy. His love is not selfish, but supernatural. His love is beyond understanding (Phil.4:7). His love never diminishes, dims or decreases. Dear friend, the Lord Jesus also loves you. You may rej...

Handling Temptations !

Temptation is one of the commonest human experiences. We will face temptations every day. Even though it is very common, not a lot of believers are equipped to deal with temptation. In studying the anatomy of temptation, there are seven truths: 1.Temptation comes from the devil, even Jesus was tempted by devil. 2. Temptation thrives in isolation- temptation came to Jesus when He was alone 3. Temptation always starts with a question- when the serpent wanted to tempt Eve he put forth a question, he said Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?4. Temptation is a function of desire, 5. Temptation usually has a geographical connection, 6. Temptation does not become sin until you agree with it, 7. Temptation does not have to become sin- being tempted is not a sin falling into temptation is sin. We think that it is God, who tempts us but the truth is No! Temptation originates from the devil. "But every person is tempted when he is ...
